"The Making of Burning Cold" gives insight into the process of writing a mystery, starting with the inspiration behind the book: the classic noir film The Third Man, based on a story by Graham Greene and starring Orson Welles. In the novel, Lisa Lieberman transports us into the action taking place in Budapest during the 1956 revolution. During this event, she will talk about her reasons for doing that, provide an overview of the uprising, and describe how she worked her characters into key events -- all illustrated by photographs, famous images from the time, and photos she took during her 2016 research trip to Hungary.
On April 3rd, we are screening the film The Third Man (1949). Check out that event here!
