Paper Weaving with Helen Hiebert (Online)
Schedule: May 5 & 6, 2021 — 10am - 4pm (CT);
8am - 2pm (PT); 9am - 3pm (MT); 11am - 5pm (ET);
Before sending in the registration form, please email Jenny Ross (registration@nsng.org), Workshop Registrar, to make sure there are still openings in the workshop you want. Waiting lists are created when a class is full.
Explore the basics and push the boundaries of paper weaving as you weave straight and curved strips, add a warp, make shaped weavings and cut windows to reveal paper layers. Helen will show examples of her work and that of other artists for inspiration, and we will weave create structural paper weavings, such as cards, books and lanterns. Use your own papers, purchase a kit containing gorgeous Japanese papers, or mix and match!
