Schedule: Jun 10, 2021 -- 5pm - 8pm (ET);
4pm - 7pm (CT); 3pm - 6pm (MT); 2pm - 5pm (PT);
These structures are like small theatres, similar to the shoebox dioramas children make in school. We will use our own illustrations or images cut from magazines or other source material in making our models. If you come with an idea or simple sketch for a small 3-dimensional world you want to create, you’ll be well prepared to get the most from this workshop. Our tunnel books will be 4” high x 6” wide, about the size of a postcard. We will discuss variations of the form and ways to incorporate the theatre into a folder or case. The model we make will be a solid basis for creating a final finished book or as reference for future work. Instructions for pre-cutting paper will be sent prior to the workshop.
Advance registration is required for all JCBA workshops. For more details or to register, please email JCBA Director John Cutrone (jcutrone@fau.edu).
