Teamup has improved a lot over the years.
One of our most important improvements isĀ account-based access, first introduced in 2018. All users are encouraged to use account-based access, more secure, more user-friendly, and easier to administer in addition to having benefits for the individual users.
Anyone can access the calendar via a shareable link. Password-protected links do not provide the same level of security and authentication you get from account-based access.Ā Ā
With security in mind, the feature of password protection for calendar links has been discontinued.
In order to minimize any interruption for existing users of password-protected calendar links, those links are kept as they are for now (with password proection).Ā Administrators are encouraged to replace these password-protected links with account-based access. First, be sure to make the calendar administrator(s) account-based, followed by users with any modify permission.Ā
Links are a way to give temporary calendar access to someone, to share your calendar with a large group, on social media, or with the public. You can use a link to embed Teamup on your own website, too.Ā
Since anyone can access the calendar via a shareable link:
If your calendar was upgraded to the Plus plan only for the purpose of enabling password protection for calendar links, feel free to downgrade to the free Basic plan if you do not need more than 8 account users.Ā If you need more than 8 account users, consider one of the paid subscription plans.Ā
Note that anyone canĀ create a free user account. Teamup account users can add calendar links to their dashboard to stay in sync and for easy access on any device, etc.Ā
