Boundaries between Palliative Care and Medical Assistance in Dying with Alison Wilkes
Alison is the Volunteer Coordinator for the NNPCN as well as a Registered Nurse. As we hear more and more in the news about Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) and hospice palliative care, it's important to understand what these terms really mean. Join us to learn more about these two end-of-life terms.
About the BEYOND DYING series:
Palliative care goes beyond comfort while dying. Knowing more about this multi-faceted topic helps us care for our loved ones, deal with changes in our own health, and serve our community through organizations like the Near North Palliative Care Network. Please join us for this excellent learning opportunity!
Offered every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, this lunch-and-learn series is open to everyone, though geared towards seniors and those who work in palliative care (professional or volunteer). Presentations start at 11 a.m. followed by Q&A, lunch and social time.
Limited space. Please register by the Monday before the event (for catering purposes).
