Sarah Kortemeier serves as Library Director at the University of Arizona Poetry Center. She won the Felix Pollak Prize in Poetry for her debut collection, Ganbatte, which was published in 2019 by the University of Wisconsin Press. She holds an MFA in Poetry and an MA in Library and Information Science, both from the University of Arizona. Her scholarly interests include contemporary poetry, critical librarianship, and the intersections between arts education and information literacy instruction.
Julie Swarstad Johnson is the Poetry Center’s Senior Library Specialist. Her work for the Poetry Center includes overseeing daily operations for the library and coordinating work on exhibitions and Voca, the Center’s online audiovisual archive. She is the author of Pennsylvania Furnace (Unicorn Press, 2019), as well as a recent chapbook, Orchard Light (Seven Kitchens Press, 2020). She is also the co-editor of Beyond Earth’s Edge: The Poetry of Spaceflight (University of Arizona Press, 2020). Julie is an occasional letterpress printer and all-the-time letterpress enthusiast.
