You’re invited to attend the first public forum for Housing Lynn: A plan for inclusive growth.
The City of Lynn has contracted the Metropolitan Area Planning Council to work with the
community to develop a plan that fulfills state requirements of a Housing Production Plan.
Though more than 10% of the city’s housing stock is deed-restricted to be affordable to lower income households, City leadership recognizes that there are many residents who don’t have
the housing they need.
Housing Lynn will guide Affordable Housing and other residential development, identify
development sites, and recommend strategies to expand housing opportunity and increase
stability in Lynn. Ultimately, the plan will lay the groundwork for new laws and policies the City will advance to maintain a diverse Lynn community. The final Housing Lynn plan will be adopted by the City Council and Planning Board, in accordance with state requirements for Housing Production Plans, and will then be submitted to the state for approval.
The first forum is focused on understanding your housing needs and priorities. The evening will offer the chance to:
• Learn about the Housing Lynn planning process
• See how well the city’s housing meets the needs of its residents according to the most
• Tell us your housing challenges and priorities for the future
Our discussion will help ensure Housing Lynn serves a broad range of Lynners, including people of color and people with limited English proficiency, renters as well as homeowners, families as well as those living alone, and folks of different ages, backgrounds, and income levels.
Your voice is needed to ensure the plan represents all corners of this diverse community.
Help set housing
goals for Lynn!
