Schedule: Apr 12, 2021 — 6pm - 8pm (ET);
5pm - 7pm (CT); 4pm - 6pm (MT); 3pm - 5pm (PT)
Stab binding is a beautiful and simple way to learn bookbinding, but it is also a very versatile book form with many possible patterns. This will be a wonderful class for anyone who understands the basics of the 4-hole stitch and for those that have taken Stab Binding I.
Students will learn the technique for two trickier tradtional stitches, including the 4Hemp-Leaf (Asa-No-Ha Toji) and Tortoise Shell Binding (Kikko Toji). We will also cover a few basic alternative ideas for pages and cover techniques to add even more possibilities to how you will design your book.
This class is designed for those who have a basic understanding of stab binding and are looking to branch out to new patterns and techniques for covers and pages. Feel free to join us if you have taken Stab Binding I or have experience with stab binding. Ages 13 and up.
