Kim Reynolds, Joni Ernst and Christine Hensley all feel deserving of this award despite betraying the women (and men) of Iowa. Are we going to let them get away with it?
Reynolds and Ernst are being honored primarily for being first, but when it comes down to representing Iowans, they've blown it by engaging in reckless politics that have endangered the lives and well-being of millions of Iowa women. They've succeeded in reducing women's health care services, attacked working women and cut funding for education. They've benefitted from Iowa's progressive stance on women's issues and then pulled the ladder up behind them, denying the next generation of Iowa women the same opportunities. There's value in being first, but Iowa needs women in office who can do better.
For those that attend, please understand that messaging at this event is crucial. We want to highlight how Reynolds, Ernst and Hensley are the enemies of Iowa women. Please make sure that signage reflects that!
Look forward to seeing you all there!
The ceremony begins at 9:30 AM and goes until 11 AM. We will be there at 8:30 AM to catch all the traffic coming in!
