If you've added multiple account-based users to your calendar, you can go to Settings > Sharing anytime to see the list of users and manage their calendar access.
You might notice something that seems startling: every account-based user has the exact same calendar link!
Does this mean they all have the same calendar access?
No, don't worry. All account-based users have the same link to access the calendar, but the link provides different access for each user.
The account user URL to a calendar is like the door to a building. A user shows up with their own keycard, which is tied to their unique user account. The keycard for each user is programmed with the access that user should get. So when a user opens the door with their keycard, they get access, but only the access they're authorized to have.
All account-based users "enter" the calendar through the same door (the link) but not all users get the same access through that door.
If an account user is not logged in when they try to access the calendar, they'll be directed to log in to their account before they can access the calendar. Once they're logged in, they can access the calendar thru the link, and their specific access permissions will be applied.
This is why account-based access is more secure than link-based access:
Account user links are different than shareable calendar links
A shareable calendar link can be used by anyone, whether they have a Teamup account or not.
Each shareable calendar link is unique. When you create a shareable calendar link, you set the permissions for that specific link. Then, anyone who uses the link can access the calendar with the permissions you've set to the link. So: Be careful when you create a shareable calendar link, be sure that the permissions are appropriate, and only share it with people who should have it. You can also add password protection to shareable calendar links for extra security.
If you think a shareable calendar link has been compromised, you can delete it and create a new one.
