Embroidery has a long history of embellishing fabric in a myriad of ways—and now stitching on paper or photos or Tyvek or other substrates has taken hold. In this workshop, we will explore many different embroidery stitches, techniques, and materials for embellishing your work in a new way. Adding line, value, color and even text in these hand-sewn ways adds a new tactile element to your surfaces.
Kits with basic supplies will be provided (make sure you provide your mailing address at registration). All you need to bring to the screen is your work, and scissors, pencil and paper.
