The Deep Adaptation Community Grief Circle is an opportunity to grieve our losses in a supportive community. Climate grief brings us together, but all losses including social, political, and personal, past, present, and future, are welcome. This event is not designed to address recent personal bereavement. Join us for a set-apart time of poetry, music, ritual, compassionate listening, and less talking. Letting our grief flow together brings release and belonging.
We who partake in these rituals have learned that grief is not a bottomless pit, but a normal and healthy response, a part of adjusting to loss. We grieve regularly so that we can honor what is loved and lost, treasure what remains, and come to terms with a world remade through loss. Many (most?) traditional cultures have regular grieving rituals, to metabolize the pain of caring in the face of inevitable losses. Let’s restore that practice!
DA Community Grief Circles are usually held monthly, at varying dates and times. You can check the calendar here for scheduled Grief Circles and start times in your time zone.
How to Join: Register here. You will receive the Zoom link via an email from Google forms. You can register more than once if you forget! Start times may vary; please double-check yours.
