Help save the life of someone thinking about suicide; make a person who may be going through a crisis moment feel safe; and help us as a diocese and community build relationships. This training is targeted to laity, clergy, chaplains and those on healing prayer groups. The goal is to encourage understanding and engagement with people who may have mental health issues or are showing signs they may be in crisis. We are encouraging building relationships with people we serve and/or come through our doors; we also have an obligation to help break the stigma of mental illness. This is a topic that affects all communities. The training is provided by The Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health.
