Collaborative Shaving Cream Marbling
Supplies Provided For Class

Canned shaving cream (NOT the gel kind)

Shallow trays or baking pans (one per student)

Paint (liquid, assorted bright colors)

Toothpicks (for swirling)

Heavy cardstock

Plastic rulers (for scraping)

Paper towels
Schedule
Instructor demonstrates full process for group
Instructor fill trays with shaving cream
Paint & Swirl — Drop colors, swirl with toothpick, press canvas
Reveal & Scrape — Scrape foam off canvas to reveal marble pattern
Wash out trays
Refill trays, try new color combos or techniques
Fill the shallow tray with shaving cream. Drop paint on top and use a toothpick to swirl gently. After the child presses the canvas, help scrape away excess foam with a ruler to reveal the print.
🎨 Child's Role
Choose the colors! Press the face of the canvas directly into the colorful foam, hold for a count of 5, then lift slowly. Watch the magic reveal — every print is completely unique and unrepeatable.
