How to display a calendar with a limited date range

You may wish to display events only for a limited date range for some users.

For example, perhaps you want community members to see upcoming events only for the next week. Or you may want staff members to see their assignments only for the next week, without skipping ahead to view tentative scheduling beyond the current week.

You can customize an embedded Teamup calendar to show only a limited date range.

These are the settings to adjust:

1. Choose an appropriate calendar view for the date range you want to show (e.g. Multi-day view, Week view...).
2. Set the start date to the current date. 
3. Hide the calendar controls (view selector, date controls, and sidepanel).

You can accomplish this with our Embed Wizard or by applying link parameters. 

Use the Embed Wizard

In the calendar appearance options on the left (Calendar icon), turn off the View Selector, Sidepanel, and Date Controls. Optionally, you can toggle off the Header and Menu for a streamlined look.

In the calendar settings options on the right (Gear icon), choose the calendar view and set the date to the current date. 

The resulting embedded calendar will show only a limited date range (based on the selected calendar view). Users will not have the option to change the date or switch calendar views. 

Use link parameters

If you prefer, you can add the link parameters directly to a secure link rather than using the Embed Wizard. 

For the look shown above, you'd use these parameters: 

• Calendar header hidden: showHeader=0
• Sidepanel disabled: disableSidepanel=1
• View selector hidden: showViewSelector=0
• Menu hidden: showMenu=0
• Calendar view is set to Multi-day showing 3 days: view=md<3>
• Start date is set to current: date=today
