Walk with Coastal Prairie Chapter Texas Master Naturalists! Join us for a guided 90-minute mindful walk in the park on the first Saturday of the month, with themes and practices of interest to the meditator, naturalist, and nature lover in all of us.
For meditators, mindful nature walks invite you to slow down and sense the natural world around you while practicing mindful movement, mindful breathing, sensory awareness, and nature meditation.
For naturalists, mindful nature walks promote the careful study of the natural world through observation and foster new insights into how organisms and environments are interconnected, including our own role in community-based conservation.
For health and wellness seekers, mindful nature walks offer an array of benefits, such as relaxation, stress reduction, improved mood, restored attention, stronger immune function, stronger social bonds, etc. Mindful Nature Walks are free and open to the public and rotate between Cullinan Park and Seabourne Creek Nature Park.
Mindful Nature Walks will be held on the first Saturday of the month at 9:00am, alternating between Cullinan Park and Seabourne Creek Nature Park. Please dress for current weather conditions. Bring a hat, water bottle and bug spray. In the event of rain or inclement weather the walk will be cancelled.
