How to hide information about who created or modified an event

The event edit history shows who created the event and who modified the event last, for anyone with a modify permission level.
It is possible to hide who created or last modified an event (the user or the link). This can be done by sharing your calendar with others and assigning them add only or read only access.
Users with add-only or read-only access will still see when the event was created and last updated, but who will not be visible:
event edit history, read only, users, links, updates, privacy, confidentiality
