To increase compliance of CARICOM WTO Members with Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) notification obligations.
(Member States will be reminded of the various notification obligations in order to enhance Member States capacity to comply.)
To assist policymakers in designing, implementing and monitoring regional trade facilitation reforms
(Member States will engage in strategic discussions toward the development of a roadmap for the implementation of priority TF measures)
To enhance awareness of the roles and responsibilities of the National and Regional Committees on Trade Facilitation
(Member States will be provided with a detailed description of the roles of the institutional framework in the WTO TFA and how they can facilitate the regional institutional framework.)
To assist members to improve border agency co-operation
To enhance participation of the private sector in the implementation of the TFA
To support full and effective implementation and ownership of the TFA and TF reforms by CARICOM Member States
