Session 1: Co-Teaching: Setting up and Structuring Support
This first session will describe the critical elements of an effective teaching team and how co-teaching can help schools meet the goals of inclusive education. Participants will learn a variety of co-teaching structures and explore dozens of ways educators can work together in shared classrooms.
Session 2: Moving Beyond Structures
In this interactive session, participants will become familiar with active learning structures (e.g., whip, anchoring), formative assessments, and UDL strategies appropriate fort K-12 inclusive classrooms.
Session 3: Supporting Paraprofessionals in Inclusive Classrooms
This final session is intended to give teams tools to collaborate with paraprofessionals and classroom assistants. There will a discussion on supervision, roles, planning for others, and how to help a paraprofessional create better supports and deliver effective instruction.
Presenter: Dr. Paula Kluth is a consultant, author, advocate, and independent scholar who works with teachers and families to provide inclusive opportunities for students with disabilities and to create more responsive and engaging schooling experiences for all learners. Paula is a former special educator who has served as a classroom teacher and inclusion facilitator. Her professional interests include differentiating instruction and inclusive schooling.

This course is available for Spring 2022 inservice credit through the University of Idaho (UI). Enrollment for this course opens February 7, 2022 and closes March 11, 2022.
