Erin Huey, Red Cross EMR Instructor, will lead us through wound care in a disaster environment. Erin will cover basic medical support such as how to treat wounds; apply bandaging & splinting; – plus she will review Head to Toe assessments which we will get a chance to practice.
These and future meetings will be held at the Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys Adult Rec Center at 5056 Van Nuys Blvd, Sherman Oaks, 91403. Times will also be from 12:30 to 2:30PM.

Medical – Managing a Field Treatment Area
Radio Communication and Documentation
Triage - continuous reviews throughout the year
Search & Rescue – Teams, PPE, Size Up, Call out, Patterns, Reporting/Recording Intel
Cribbing
Some of these topics will be in two-part sessions – and in every meeting, we will review material then break into groups for hands-on practice.
Note: Battalion 10's next meeting will be during the week on a Wednesday evening on May 10th.
