A paper developing best practices for the surface radiation measurements on ocean platforms was recently published as the first step of a joint OASIS/BSRN Ocean Radiometer community of practice. Our next steps are to coordinate and report on intercomparison experiments and other efforts to further quantify the effect of practices possible on different ocean-based platforms to measurement uncertainties and interoperability. This workshop session will provide a series of reports on experiments that have been conducted recently or that will be conducted in the near future, with a chance for discussion and feedback from the community.
