Schedule: May 16, May 23 & May 30, 2021 — 2pm - 4pm (ET);
1pm - 3pm (CT); 12pm - 2pm (MT); 11am - 1pm (PT)
We all know that an old photo or an old movie is really black, white, and grey all over! In this workshop you'll learn to go from a color photo, to black and white, and finally to a high impact cut that is truly black and white. (Or really any two colors you'd like!). If you do not have access to PowerPoint please contact Rosa (rosaleff@gmail.com) before your first class so that we can re-strategize to ensure your success. Participants must have taken Part 1 of this course OR have experience with papercutting using X-Acto knives. This class will not cover basic cutting techniques.
You'll learn how to select a great photo to cut from, how to edit it before you cut, how to decide where in the grey to "draw the line," and when and how to reverse positive and negative so that you are able to capture all the nitty gritty details of a complex cityscape. This is part 2 of Rosa's papercutting series it is 3 sessions and will run Sundays from 2-4pm, May 16th-May 30th. For ages 14 and up.
