Do you need to retain data from your calendar, but do not want to keep it in your daily calendar view?
You can always export data from your calendar as a record or back-up. However, there's another method that keeps the data on your calendar, but out of view.
You can deactivate any sub-calendar as a way to archive its data.
For example, perhaps you have a sub-calendar for a specific project, with all events and tasks related to the project on it. When the project is complete, you don't need to see those events/tasks but you may want to retain the project data for future reference, record-keeping, customer inquiries, etc. You can deactivate (rather than delete) the project sub-calendar and it will become an archive for that project's data.
Deactivated sub-calendars retain their data; it's just not visible or accessible until the sub-calendar is reactivated.
To access the data again
Reactivate the sub-calendar by using the toggle button. The data (events) will be back on your calendar. You can search or filter to find the data you need, export a CSV or save to PDF, and then deactivate the sub-calendar again.
Deactivating is NOT the same as deleting.
A deleted sub-calendar's data will be permanently removed and is not retrievable.
The limits of historical data apply to deactivated sub-calendars.
If data on an archival sub-calendar is older than the historical data allowed on your subscription, that data will not be accessible. You can temporarily upgrade your subscription to access it.
Deactivated sub-calendars do not count against your subscription's sub-calendar limit.
You can have multiple archival sub-calendars over your limit, as long as they are deactivated. To reactivate an archival sub-calendar, you may need to temporarily deactivate another current sub-calendar so you are not at your limit of active sub-calendars.
