Cut, Pleat, and Alter Book Pages - led by Gina Pisello

There are many ways to alter a book and in this demo Gina will show you one of her favorites because it is almost like magic! Please join us on November 11 when we will transform a sheet of paper into a twisted, pleated artwork. The process will transform images from both sides of the paper into something new. Materials needed to follow the demo or do it on your own after the meeting will be provided with RSVP (see registration below).

We’re looking for other members to lead demos of a simple structure or technique for a future meeting. It can be anything related to book arts: collage, gelli prints, simple bindings, folding techniques, rubber stamp making, the sky is the limit! If you have something to share as a demo in a future meeting please contact Laurel and she will work with you on the procedure to do this.

1) We will start the meeting promptly at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time (note the new time for this meeting only!)
2) At 1:15 p.m. Gina will begin her demo. Have the materials and tools listed in the attached file in email sent on Nov 3, 2020
3) After the demo is completed (around 2:00) we will begin a general meeting with sharing of participant’s projects. When you are sharing please introduce yourself and hold your book or project steady and not too close to your screen
4) We will end the meeting by 3:00 p.m.
