Explore collecting and curating as a creative practice in this virtual workshop. In addition to learning book structures that lend themselves to displaying items in a collection, such as the pocket blizzard, we will also engage written forms that operate similarly, such as lists, erasures, and indexes.
Equal parts creative writing and bookmaking, this workshop’s primary aim is play: It is intended to be a generative space. In addition to our sessions together, participants will be mailed a set of optional prompts to inspire writing and mark-making outside of the workshop. In addition to materials participants source themselves, the instructor will also send a materials kit prior to the workshop.
