About this Session

This is an in-person, place-based event at the Sirius Intentional Community (www.siriuscommunity.org). Follow signs off Baker Road to the Sirius Community Center. As per our guest policy, we will administer a Covid rapid test, and you will sign a waiver to participate.

Weather permitting, we may begin our Place-Sourced Constellation work in Sirius' glorious Stone Circle and complete it in the Octagon Room. Dress warmly and in layers. If you would like to stay for a potluck dinner afterwards, let me know what you plan to bring. 

Systemic Constellations are a collective, embodied process for system-sensing and restoration work.  In this session, we will use our bodies' innate knowing to represent and regenerate living systems grounded in a specific place.

Place-Sourced Constellations interweave well with Regenerative Design work as a way to explore "outside the box" of our thinking or even our paradigm. For example, through Constellation work, I have seen beneficial relationships between species that I did not know were there. I have also sensed the trauma of human genocide "trickle down" through a watershed and lie stored in a reservoir, bringing new meaning to the term, a body of water.

Maybe most importantly, Regenerative Constellation work is a process for giving voice to the land, the trees, the sea, the bees -- all of our beloved kin -- with whom we seek to co-create in community.

A Brief History of Constellation Work:
Bert Hellinger first developed this methodology as Family Constellation work in the 1990's in order to acknowledge and resolve patterns of inter-generational trauma in family systems.

As Constellation Facilitators experienced the power of this phenomenological approach to knowing and healing, they began to expand Systemic Constellation work to organizational systems and natural systems.

About Marianne Connor:

I began my career in international development in the 1980's, and I soon learned to respect how the history of a place impacted its culture and capacity to heal and grow. There are few places on Earth where inter-generational trauma does not restrain regenerative development out of love and loyalty to its unacknowledged past.

In the midst of a family crisis in 2016, I found my way to Family Constellation work, and I fell in love with this process. Over the past six years, I have trained with several Systemic Constellation facilitators who work in family, organizational or natural systems. As a Regenerative Designer, trained by Regenesis, I am always looking for the place where these systems intersect, because the pattern of the part often reveals the pattern of the whole.
