In this virtual workshop, learn how to make seven little folded structures and explore the many ways they can be used and shared with others. On the first night, learn two folded paper structures that can be embellished and can hold written notes or drawings—a spiral fold that becomes a flower-like object and an elegant packet that unfolds to reveal a writing surface within.
Delve briefly into zine-making and a basic accordion fold. On the second night, get an introduction to pop-ups and learn how to create a floating accordion structure, a map fold that can be showcased with its own jacket, and a striking tri-fold shutter that will surprise with its unique structure and many uses. Come away with ideas and inspiration for projects using folded structures such as unique gifts and cards, art, teaching objects, and displays for special occasions.
