There are two ways to give other people access to your Teamup calendar:
An account user link looks the same for all users, but provides different access to the calendar. The access permissions are tied to the individual user.
An account user link looks like this:
The "abc123" is a unique calendar identifier.
When you add a user to your calendar, you customize their access:
The account user link is automatically added to their dashboard. All they have to do is log into their account and open the calendar from their user dashboard. Their access to the calendar will be customized for that user, depending on how you set it up.
When you create a shareable calendar link, you can share the link with a person, multiple people, or a group. The link provides the same access for anyone who uses it. The access permissions are tied to the shareable link.
A shareable calendar link looks like this:
https://teamup.com/ks789asdfa789abc
The "ks789asdfa789abc" is the calendar key, a unique string that opens your calendar with the customized access you assign to the link.
When you create a link, you customize the access for that link:
You can send a shareable calendar link to someone via text, email, message, etc. Or you can use it to embed the calendar.
Anyone who has the shareable link has direct access to the calendar according to the access you set up for that specific link. A shareable calendar link does not differentiate access based on who is using it. Only account-based access is tied to a specific user.
So it's very important with shareable calendar links to make sure the permissions are appropriate if the link is shared widely. For additional security, you can add password protection to a calendar link.
