The Christmas Market runs from 10 am to 3 pm; with vendors being able to arrive at 8 am to set-up (and there will be volunteers from the church to assist and we do have an elevator).
We are a welcoming, friendly group and will treat you well! Funds raised at this event will support the church and its Outreach projects. These include an annual initiative of 100 tied fleece blankets which are given to refugee children arriving in Ottawa as well as those who may be struggling within our community. You will see some of our quilts displayed at the Market. We also support Naomi House, which is an organization that provides support/assistance to women and children who are escaping from an abusive situation. We support our local Food Cupboard, and we are also big supporters of their Christmas Hamper program.
Please submit your application as soon as possible. You will be notified if there is a space for you as quickly as we can, as applications are juried. No-one is guaranteed a table unless they have been contacted by Dawn Cooper, Lisa Richards or Irma Whynacht, indicating that there is room available. A cheque made payable to Manotick United Church (and labelled “Christmas Market Rental”) can be mailed to, or dropped off, at the church and must be accompanied with your application. You also have the option of emailing your completed application form to admin@manotickunitedchurch.com and making your payment by E-Transfer to: admin@manotickunitedchurch.com (we are set up for automatic deposit). Cheques can be post-dated, no later than October 27, 2023 as all payments will be processed by October 27th, 2023, and will be non-refundable after that point.
