Come and join us for this year’s
EXMOOR RUT TOURING ASSEMBLY
STARTING FROM BETTY COTTLES INN, OKEHAMPTON, EX20 4LR
FINISHING AT WOODY BAY STATION ON THE LYNTON AND BARNSTAPLE RAILWAY
FIRST CAR AWAY AT 10.30A.M.
The event is open to all MGCC members, irrespective of vehicle, all models of MG and other Classic Cars.
Welcome to the latest running of the Exmoor Rut, organised this year by the Devon and Cornwall Centre of the MG Car Club Limited.
The route will start at the Betty Cottles Inn, Okehampton, EX20 4LR where complimentary tea/coffee will be available whilst signing on for the event.
This will take place from 9.00 am onwards, with the firstvehicle leaving at 10.30 am. Pre-booked Bacon Baps will also be available with your tea/coffee.
The run will take us on a leisurely drive ending at the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway's Tea Room at Woody Bay Station, Martinhoe Cross, Parracombe, Barnstaple, EX31 4RA.
The route will be a drive of just over 80 miles with various places to stop for lunch, or picnic, if required. A simple route book will be provided with no need for any maps, plus the usual Rally Plaque.
The first car away will be at 10.30am so hopefully no very early starts for anyone. Cream Teas for Driver and Navigator will be served at the end of the run and will be served from 3.30 pm. Rides on the Steam train are available at the finish at a discounted rate of £7 per passenger,
with the final train of the day leaving Woody Bay at 3 pm for the round trip via Killington Lake which takes around half an hour.
If you are interested in a train ride please email sheilaballard54@btinternet.com
(including the number of passengers) and I will let them know how many are hoping to travel on the 3 pm train.
We would like to thank Betty Cottles Inn for allowing the MGCC Devon and Cornwall Centre Exmoor Rut to start here.
