K-2 Numeracy
Day 1 will focus on Foundations of counting, operations and algebraic thinking and the base 10 number system. Participants will explore how counting and cardinality develops into unitizing, composing /decomposing numbers, additive reasoning, hands-on activities and analyze evidence of student understanding to inform instructional planning.
This will be day 1 of a 2 part series focused on K-2 numeracy. Part 2 will be offered 3/10/2026.
Participants who attend both K-2 Numeracy trainings will be eligible to apply for 1 graduate credit hour offered through Northwest.
