Class Description:
Skin Tones the Easy Way – Spice Up Your Skin Tones with a Little Color
Three main colors will be used to achieve the basic skin tones. Then to spice things up a few unexpected colors will be added. This is an easy way to liven up your painting and make it more entertaining to the viewer. This technique works well on large figures and portraits.
To prepare for this workshop, she recommends we either trace or we lightly draw our portrait in advance on the watercolor paper 1/4 sheet arches or another professional brand we like to use. This workshop is all about color and tone. We can hold another workshop that focuses on drawing the portrait at another workshop if there is enough demand. Because of the limited amount of time we have, the focus will be on painting the portrait.
In addition to the suggested watercolor supplies below, we can either bring our own photos or use the photo she will provide. You may feel more comfortable following along with her photo as she demonstrates her techniques.
