Conservation Collier was put into place over a dozen years ago when voters approved the use of part of already existing real estate taxes to be put into a fund to buy sensitive and important lands in our County like the Greenway. The original program ended because of a sunset clause.
Voters have a chance to reinstate it by voting yes on a Resolution which has been placed on the November ballot.
This afternoon’s panel will be composed of leading environmentalists in our community. They will give you all the information you need to understand and help bring this important program back to life. The public is welcome to attend.
