38 miles, mostly on quiet country lanes & off-road tracks such as the Grand Union Canal & Ebury way. Route passes: - the Church of the Ascension Bedmond; Hemel Hempstead’s new Dutch-style roundabout; the two fords at Redbournbury (free drink to anyone that rides it!); St Albans Cathedral; Gorhambury; and the Picture House Bricket Wood. 1000 feet of ascent overall mostly in the morning. A bit lumpy in places, a mountain bike/ fatter tyres would be advantageous.
