In this talk, I engage our contemporary moment, the covid moment, as a crisis in interpretation that demands we address the question “what is going on here?” I argue that our current crisis can be helpful in understanding the process of arriving at shared interpretations of the collective past, present, and future. I describe a theory of shared interpretations as stories-in-the-making and apply this theory to the emerging discursive constructions on the crisis.
