Sunday's ride takes us north-east to Skegness on the east coast - SO bracing!
Fish, chips AND ice cream, but not in the same mouthful, eh.
The route is mostly pleasant cross-country A and B roads, with a few unavoidable towns thrown in.
Meet at 9:00 at the Long Itch Diner for a cuppa and a swift 9:15 start. (https://maps.app.goo.gl/NdAuq9UpTQEjXbbf6)
It's a fair distance (125 miles each way), but with appropriate breaks:
- 2 stops on the way (second one is SportsBikeShop in Boston - https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/) if you're thinking of buying/picking up kit
- 1 stop on the way back
Each section is approximately 60 miles / 2 hours max.
If your bike has less than 125 miles range please let me know beforehand so I can add extra petrol stops.
Expect to be back in Warwickshire around 6:30-7pm.
NOTE: All are welcome, but if you have not yet passed your advanced test, you do need to be comfortable overtaking at national speed limits.
'There' and 'back' routes are available on the SWAR group in MRA here:
