WHAT:
The BALOO training sessions include hands-on demonstration of the why and how of Cub Scout camping -- planning, equipment, fire safety, stoves, and lanterns, first aid and sanitation, nature hikes and games, meal preparation, overnight campsite setup and selection, and an evening campfire program.
BALOO training is comprised of two components—an online component and a practical,
hands-on component. Both components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED”
Cub Scout outdoor leader.
The online component must be completed prior to the practical component. The online
training contains introductory and basic information that will be built upon during the
practical training.
TIME:
Saturday, October 19 8:30 a.m. thru Sunday, October 20 11:30 a.m.
COST:
Registration: $45.00 (after 10/11: $55, if space available). No Walk-in Registration.
Includes great food (continental breakfast, lunch, dinner, cracker barrel Saturday, and full breakfast Sunday, overnight camping, handouts, and certification card!
Refund policy: 80% Refunds with cancellation before Oct 12, 2019; 60% Refund with cancellation Oct 12 – 18, 2019; No Refunds with cancellation after Oct 18, 2019.
