Artist-Centered Critique: How to give and receive rigorous and supportive feedback for artworks in progress.
Bring a work in progress and turn discomfort into inquiry. Feedback doesn’t have to be hollow, brutal, or boring. We will practice several versions of Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process, an artist-centered method to bring out your best work by asking questions and looking deeply at our work.
Goal: From idea generation to final draft, we all want to know that our work holds meaning for others, come practice the connections we seek when art meets its audience. You will leave your feedback sessions wanting to rush back to your studio. No experience is necessary except to use Zoom and be prepared to discuss your art and share screen. You will receive an email before the class begins with further information.
