Starting Your Own Honeybee Hive
For centuries--from prehistoric times through the Stone Age, from the Egyptian beekeepers into the 21st century, both the bees and the honey they magically produce have fascinated us. This presentation, given by John Hedly, local beekeeper and member of the Worcester Beekeepers Association, is geared to people of all ages. It is designed for people who are interested in knowing what is involved in starting and managing their own honey bee hives. It is also good for the people who are generally interested in these fascinating insects who pollinate about a third of the fruits and vegetables we eat every day.
