Here are a few tips forcreating friction-free schedule for attendees at conferences and trade shows:
Start date: Set the calendar's default start date to the conference start date, so that your viewers will always see the conference program during the period leading up to the conference start, instead of an "empty calendar". For multi-day event, once the conference starts, change the start date to Current, so that people will open the calendar on the current date on day 2, day 3, etc.
Add session details as you make progress towards finalizing the session - topic, speaker(s), participants, agenda, including any pictures and links. If you'd like to limit the work-in-progress info to yourself or an internal team only, keeping such info in Comments and set Comments to be visible only to users with the Modify permission. Once finalized, you could move them over to the Description and other relevant event fields and polish the info for sharing publicly.
Share session as event pages with parties that you collaborate with during preparation or with any audience once it is finalized.
