Based on experience with the previous class, we are only taking the first 8 guys to respond. We will do it again if you miss this one.
Class format: Interactive
- This will NOT be a traditional Sensei/student type class. All participants will be involved in assisting and critiquing other students so that we can all improve our skills.
- There will be 4 sessions, 6:00-7:30pm every other week starting April 9th.
- Sessions will include:
- Basic Controlled Cast
- Line Control Casts - Arial Mends, Reach Casts, Slack Casts, Curve Cast etc
- Roll Cast
- Accuracy and Distance Casting
- Each class will consist of:
- Skill review for the week
- Work in small group/pairs on skill
- Video casting (Must provide your own camera)
- Casting Games to display the particular skills
- There may be a charge of $10-$15 per participant to cover cost of props and materials.
Expectations:
- Participants will be expected to practice skills prior to each class and be able to perform them reasonably well before each session
- Participants will be expected to be able to attend all 4 sessions
- Participants must currently be part of the FATC
-
Participants should be able to consistently perform a basic overhead cast to 25-30 feet
The location of the class has not been determined, however, it will most likely be in the Eureka/I44 area. I will send out more details about the class and location once we have our group together..
Please respond to Mike Bisaga(mike.bisaga@gmail.com) right away if you are interested in participating.
First 8 to respond get on the list, others will be placed on a waiting list in the order received.
