We all want to know that our work holds meaning for others. Practice building the connections we seek when art meets its audience. In an intimate group, we will look deeply at art works in progress with a focus on the artist’s areas of inquiry. No prior experience is necessary, only a willingness to work together as artists and responders, with a creative constraint—Critical Response Process (CRP)—toward a shared goal to make works in progress the best they can be. This virtual workshop is for those makers who crave support and rigor, community and concrete direction; I believe you will leave your session wanting to rush back to the studio!
Please come to class with an idea or a project you can show on Zoom (any media/any genre) and a question or challenge you are facing with your work. Come with an open mind to a new process/method, a community mindset, and an eagerness for in-depth discussion of art.
