NTRANS has the pleasure of welcoming you to a new season of our bi-weekly lunch box webinars. This spring semester the webinars will take place on Wednesdays at 12-13.00.
Presenter: Kristina Haaskjold, researcher at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE)
“Spatial trade-offs in national land-based wind power production in times of biodiversity and climate crisis”:
Kristina Haaskjolds presentation today is “Spatial trade-offs in national land-based wind power production in times of biodiversity and climate crisis”. The work has been part of the ENERGIX project “Windland”, focusing on reducing wind power conflicts by assessing environmental and economical trade-offs. The work presented is a collaboration between IFE, SSB and NINA.
Kristina Haaskjold is a researcher at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). She works with energy system analysis at regional, national, and international levels. She is involved in various projects related to the transition of the Norwegian energy system, analysing the competition and interaction between different technologies and energy carriers, as well as the value and need for flexibility. She is responsible for modeling and analysis activities in multiple ongoing projects, including those focusing on the role of hydrogen, end-use and industrial flexibility, 2nd life batteries, and the transition of the Norwegian continental shelf. Kristina has a Master of Science (2021) in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and a Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy from NTNU.
