North American Sea Glass Festival (Wilmington, DE)

The North American Sea Glass Festival is the premier sea glass event in the country celebrating the history and beauty of sea glass.    The event will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Admission is $7.00 per day, children under 12 free.

Sea glass artisans,  jewelers, authors and crafters from all over the country will travel to Wilmington to showcase their beautiful handcrafted wares.   As always, the 2017 North American Sea Glass Festival will have much to offer the whole family and this year we are expanding our children's education area to include a treasure hunt!

Prized sea glass collections from all over the world will be on display in the Collectors area, where attendees can speak to the collectors to learn more about their travels and collections.  The Shard Identification experts will help attendees learn more about their sea glass, pottery and other beach combing finds, so don't forget to bring your beachcombing treasures!
On Saturday, the festival will feature expert lecture presentations on the history and collection of genuine sea glass. The 2017 North American Sea Glass Festival will feature "Sea Glass Around the World" and our lectures will reflect that theme.  See more below and on our website.

On Sunday, the highly anticipated Shard of the Year Contest will offer opportunities to enter authentic beach finds to win cash prizes (and major bragging rights).   Attendees can enter the contest throughout the day on Sunday and the Shard of the Year Contest winner announcements close out the festival on Sunday afternoon  (must be present on Sunday to enter and win).
