In this session, we’ll stain Tyvek, a strong, water-resistant paper-like material, and then delve into an extension of accordion folding to create a series of cylindrical structures. Illuminate these mini paper structures with battery operated tea lights. Materials are included in the fee. Registration is open to all.

Instructors: Helen Hiebert is a Colorado artist who constructs installations, sculptures, films, artist’s books and works in paper using handmade paper as her primary medium. She teaches, lectures and exhibits her work internationally and is the author of the books five how-to books. Helen has an extensive network of paper colleagues around the world and her interest in how things are made (from paper) keeps her up-to- date on current paper trends, which she writes about in her weekly blog called The Sunday Paper. Helen holds an annual paper retreat in her Red Cliff studio each September.
