Have fun with alcohol inks on nonabsorbent Yupo paper and ceramic tiles. We will start with how the inks interact with each other, and how to tilt and mix them. You will learn how to use tools and brushes to help create texture, and how to use the color-wheel to choose color combinations. We will use Adirondack and PiƱata Inks and metallic fixatives. You will take home at least one 5x7 Yupo painting, one 4.25" square painted ceramic tile, and a pendant necklace with your very own painting.

Instructor: Sharyn Warner is an alcohol ink and digital image artist. She has used many other mediums over the years which she sometimes incorporates into her alcohol ink art. She prefers alcohol inks as her medium of choice because of the gorgeous transparent and highly fluid nature of the inks, and the fact that the art process is a collaboration between the artist and the inks. She currently teaches Alcohol Ink Art at the Chintinimi Senior Center in Corvallis, Oregon.
