Join us in a rare opportunity to experience the crafting of bookbinding tools with Jim Croft. master bookbinder specializing in Medieval style binding.
Create useful bookbinding and paper folding tools out of wild-harvested elk and deer bone, bamboo, and various hardwoods. Jim will demonstrate whittling, filing, and carving on bone and wood. You will learn how to create your own awl, as well as beads, buttons, or jewelry. Instruction on tool sharpening will also be covered for those who are interested.
Please feel free to bring a bag lunch. BARN has a kitchenette with refrigerator to store your lunch in.
