We'll learn the versatile French Link, also called Web Stitch, and learn to construct a pair of books. One book has an exposed spine and the other is case bound.
This structure highlights many possible options: softcovers or covered boards, the finely designed stitching can be over tapes or simply using the signatures, the spine can be exposed or covered. Advantages to this structure include that it opens fully flat, so it's an ideal structure for a journal or sketchbook.
