This workshop will begin with students learning the process of making paste papers. When dry, the sheets will be folded to create unique envelope books that are suitable for mailing. The envelope book contains a single signature pamphlet which is sewn into the fold. Small cards will be made and shared by the students, which can be placed in the inner pockets of the structure. This easy to make book structure was originally designed and taught by book artist, Hedi Kyle, at a past Hollander’s workshop. Hedi called it a "diagonal pocket fold".
