The ingenious paper mechanics that transform two-dimensional books to 3-D wonders have delighted readers for centuries. Make a sample book of 8 to 10 different pop-up designs. Start with counter folds; parallelograms; and right, obtuse, and acute-angle folds, and continue to V-folds, gate folds, and pop-ups that leap off the page. There will even be a house that turns into an animal...maybe yours will be an elephant! Delight yourself and others with the results. All levels welcome.
